What does it Mean to be a Healthy And Vulnerable Man?
Six Sessions. One Question.
Most men were never taught how to be in community with other men. We were handed a script -- work hard, stay tough, don't need too much -- and told to figure out the rest. This group is for men who are done with that script.
Somewhere along the way, many of us -- across different backgrounds and lived experiences in the U.S. -- have lost the communal rituals that once marked our passage into manhood. We inherited silence where there should have been ceremony; distance where there should have been brotherhood.
This group is an invitation to reclaim something essential: the full breadth of human connection and experience.
We are taught to suppress emotions that are labeled "feminine" such as grief and sadness. How do we grieve? And how do we move on? How do we show up to our friendships with other men authentically without walls to protect us?
Over six months, we'll gather in a space where all emotions (including anger, resentment, depression, and exhaustion) are welcome and vulnerability is strength. We'll do the grounding work that most men don't do because of the limited social construct of masculinity. We'll move beyond the roles we inherited and the emotional walls we've built to explore what it feels like to live with more openness, purpose, and joy.
We are cognizant of what we're leaving behind and what possibilities we're generating.
One of the major takeaways from this experience is to have a space to hold, witness, and support each other in our whole selves with love and care.
Through guided conversations, movement, and mediation, we will explore how identity shapes our lives and relationships. We will collectively create an inclusive, supportive learning community which uplifts each participant's voice. We won't just talk about change -- we'll feel it, together. Confidentiality and co-created group agreements held by loving accountability will enable a brave space in which no pieces of our identities are checked at the door. The facilitator will strive to hold a space where participants don't feel a need to translate or minimize their experience for others.
The journey closes by acknowledging and honoring the unique and holistic men we are becoming in the context of this collective friendship.
This is not a self-improvement program. It's a homecoming -- to a truer self and deeper connection in brotherhood.

Ready to go deeper?
Examples of how our group will go deeper in Six 2-Hour Sessions
1. Inheritied Patterns
Identify wounds and patterns we carry from family and culture and explore how to move through and past them.
2. Identity & Manhood
Explore how identity, patriarchy, race, class, and/or spirituality shape our experience of manhood. Expectations of men differ across lived experiences, identity and cultural backgrounds.
3. Work, Purpose & Meaning
Look at our relationship with work and purpose in the context of balance and meaning.
4. Our Roles & Our Families
Show up more fully, opening ourselves to experience the deep breadth of emotions as sons, fathers, partners, and friends. How can we find ourselves more joyful and spontaneous in each relationship?
5. Finding Balance.
Balance strength and softness, feminine and masculine energies within each of us. How accessing and feeling these distinct energies can be life-giving rather than depleting.
6. Acknowledgement
Both an individual and collective ceremony celebrating our new standing in relationship with one another through the concetp of Ubuntu. "I am because you are."
